Are you seriously ok with the government walking into your home to "check to see if you're being responsible and safe in the way you conduct your affairs"? I know this isn't the point of your rhetorical, but I think we need to prepare ourselves for an eventuality like this if we continue to pretend we don't have an irresponsible-gun-owner problem.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

The vast very large majority of gun owners are responsible.

Search for an actual solution that isn't a blanket policy allowing the invasion of anyone's privacy that owns a firearm. The very notion is ludicrous if not un-American. And no matter how many whackos we have shooting things up, that solution is still, in large part, a non-solution.

There are 107 MILLION gun owners in this country. The percentage of them shooting up.schools (or their kids stealing their guns to shoot up schools) is less than .00000001.
Yet libtards want to infringe on the second ammendment rights of ALL AMERICANS. And invade your home to check on your guns and have MANDATORY gun buybacks.
