Hang in there buddy. I don't know what all the side effects are, but I see many others getting chemo when I go in for my phlebotomies for my blood cancer. I see how much that treatment can run you down. My chemo treatment is oral by pill (1000mg per day) for the rest of my life they tell me in addition to the phlebotomies. I was diagnosed with Polycythemia Vera JAK2 Econ13 (the G571S mutation) which is extremely rare. In the study by Ma et al. [6] approximately 20,000 blood samples from patients with suspected myeloproliferative neoplasms were analyzed for JAK2 mutations. The G571S mutation I have was found in only 3 samples, compared to the Exon14 JAK2 V617F mutation which is seen in 95% of all Polycythemia Vera patients. It's so rare, my Doctor said he had never seen it before I entered his world, lol. Aside from the occasional bone marrow biopsy, I haven't had to deal with any surgeries, so my heart goes out to you. In lay man's terms, my disease is an overproduction of red blood cells by the bone marrow. This causes blood clots, difficult breathing, oxygen reaching the body's tissues and Autoimmune disorders. Needless to say, I get a lot of lung infections now.

one hour house cleaning
company in from out of town for my wife's 60th Birthday.

Saturday... Wife's Suprise Birthday Party followed by hanging out with 40 or so family members and friends.

Sunday One hour workout, Funeral home for yet another classmate who has died of colon cancer in Wellsville Screw cancer

Monday back to Sandusky for infusion.

Finished up round 6 Monday night. Half way done, but getting my ass kicked by the chemo this time. Holding steady at 130 to 131 pounds, and developed a inguinal hernia that's causing me trouble and my first scan came back NED last week. Going back to the Cleveland Clinic for a follow up today.

I believe that NED means "no evidence of disease". I hope I'm right about that. Hang in their my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

You do what you have to do.

My experience is most store have pretty much the same sales. If not, by all means if the stores are close. If not, the added driving cuts in to any savings.

However, if going to the store is therapeutic for you and gives you added exercise, shop away my friend.

I like going to the grocery store. I go maybe 5-6 days a week. I go to buy what I want today and maybe tomorrow. We eat out some so planning isn't feasible and I don't like to carry many bags back in to the place.
