Thanks everyone. Wasn’t trying to hijack GM’s thread, just sharing because I get it. Surgery went great today, immunotherapy starts in tewo weeks.
GM - Hope you ate well bro. I had street style tacos de carne asada today after mine. That’ll take cancer off yoour mind. Glad to hear man, I know you don't believe in prayer so much, so I am sending good vibes your way.

Finished off my first round of Chemo Monday. One 8 day cycle over 11 more to go. Hang in there buddy. I don't know what all the side effects are, but I see many others getting chemo when I go in for my phlebotomies for my blood cancer. I see how much that treatment can run you down. My chemo treatment is oral by pill (1000mg per day) for the rest of my life they tell me in addition to the phlebotomies. I was diagnosed with Polycythemia Vera JAK2 Econ13 (the G571S mutation) which is extremely rare. In the study by Ma et al. [6] approximately 20,000 blood samples from patients with suspected myeloproliferative neoplasms were analyzed for JAK2 mutations. The G571S mutation I have was found in only 3 samples, compared to the Exon14 JAK2 V617F mutation which is seen in 95% of all Polycythemia Vera patients. It's so rare, my Doctor said he had never seen it before I entered his world, lol. Aside from the occasional bone marrow biopsy, I haven't had to deal with any surgeries, so my heart goes out to you. In lay man's terms, my disease is an overproduction of red blood cells by the bone marrow. This causes blood clots, difficult breathing, oxygen reaching the body's tissues and Autoimmune disorders. Needless to say, I get a lot of lung infections now. Hang in there buddy, my thought's are with you!

Let's acknowledge reality...all of us are getting older every day we are alive and posting hopes and prayers for our fellow DT members.
Not a day goes by that I don't think about the health challenges some are going through and while I may not post every day or in some cases, every week or so, I can't stop my mind from thinking how others are doing with the health challenges they are facing.
It seems that many of us are facing such challenges at the same time...thoughts and prayers to all...simply knowing you are Browns fans says something about the type of fortitude and drive you have...take care, mac

Three treatments down 9 to go. Side effects starting to kick in, time to push harder. Todays agenda One hour workout Grocery shopping... Sams, Gabes, Meijer, Walmart. and Marcs. one hour house cleaning company in from out of town for my wife's 60th Birthday. Saturday... Wife's Suprise Birthday Party followed by hanging out with 40 or so family members and friends. Sunday One hour workout, Funeral home for yet another classmate who has died of colon cancer in Wellsville  Screw cancer Monday back to Sandusky for infusion.
