The 4 chicks are healthy and eating. Great footage from about 8:37pm to present.

All 4 falcon babies are healthy and eating. Looking pretty hideous these days with the mix of down and feathers lol.

Both of the eaglets fledged this week, taking flight for the first time. The youngest eaglet F17 was 80 days old while F18 was 78 days old.

This morning, with both perched on the outer edge of the nest, they suffered a remarkable event...It rained during the night, soaking the eaglets and the nest. I had just started watching the video feed as the soaked eaglets who were perched on the outer edges of the nest when the eaglets began to stir and suddenly the nest tilted and then collapsed falling to the right. The added weight of the rain was too much for the limb under neath, that was supporting the nest. Here is the video...

Both of the eaglets are accounted for and seem to be ok but definitely traumatized.

I haven't been following the BG Falcons but from what I pick up from their comments, it appears that the youngens have started to exit the nest as if they are fledgling...beginning to explore and test their ability to fly.

Their nesting box has to be getting warm and I'm sure the outside air feels cooler...that might be an added incentive for the young falcons to leave the nest. The high temperature is supposed to be around 93 degrees in the BG area today and I'm not sure if there is any source of water for the young falcons and that could be another incentive for these juvenile falcons to test their flying skills, in search of water.

It's all about doing everything they can to survive. Hope they are able to survive these extreme weather conditions.

I was on there yesterday. I scanned the video and saw where one fell out and another one jumped out yesterday morning. I don't think the first one has been back, but the other 3 look good and healthy....taking short jaunts and returning. One of the experts posted that the parents will look out for them for a month or so, feeding and teaching them to hunt. I hope the one that fell out is ok.
