Basketball Guys… Can somebody explain the JJ Redick to the Lakers hiring. I mean, he’s an intelligent guy and knows his stuff but… Does anyone really think that the Lakers, as currently constructed, will listen to a thing that he says? He had zero rings as a player and is the same age as LeBron. No way that he’s ever going to be taken seriously. - Had this been Popovich or Phil Jackson, I could see the dynamics working. However, I can’t help but think that JJ is a token figurehead or that the Lakers know that LeBron is leaving. There is no way that JJ was brought in to coach LeBron. Zero chance.

LeBron and JJ Reddick host a podcast together. He’s the coach of the Lakers because LeBron wants him to be the coach of the Lakers.

Donovan Mitchell spoke with Atkinson and gave his vote of approval. I think Atkinson is the right hire for the development of Mobley and turning him into the shooter he needs to become for the Cavs to go deep into the playoffs.

Pluto’s article last week about him was very positive, made it sound like a very solid choice. Seems like Pluto had the tip off whereas everyone else was calling it for Borrego. I don’t know one way or the other but the first big off season box is checked now. I suspect (don’t know of course) that Mitchell’s going to want to know what the plan is moving forward. What acquisitions/ jettisons make sense for an Atkinson team, if it changes things. I’m curious what y’all think.

Hopefully Atkinson can develop this guy and maybe guys like Bates and Mobley. That was the biggest downfall with JB, noone ever really got better under him. Atkinson took a team worse than the 2007 Cavs to the playoffs so I'm hopefull he's going to get the most out of these guys.

Don't agree with this contract at all.. Mobley has proven nothing. Not really sure why they felt they needed to do this now. I guess they are betting on JB being the issue with EM's development. guess we will see

I'd take it!

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

With the Browns brownsing, I'm getting pretty excited for this season to kickoff. Alot of movement this offseason all around. No matter what we do, atleast we aren't the dumb team that kept a deserving player out of the league so Lebron could play with a guy who wouldn't score 20 in a YMCA league. I knew lebron always had some say in personnel wherever he went, but that was next level. He was holding out, doing his media tour making the lakers sweat.. I would have called his bluff.. what's he going to do? he's 40.. if he wants to go somewhere else and free up that cap, by all means. Towns going to knicks was huge here in the east but man they gave up quite a bit for one dude
