Damn you must have an amazing crystal ball that should be used for the lottery.
You can not be serious?
Yes, I actually reached this conclusion before the first pre-season game when I saw the line-up that we would be going with.. that "if all of our starters get hurt and we have to play with this group, we aren't going to win the super bowl."
I saw total domination with our second and third stringers cept for a few. Wow a clean game with 3 penalties! Keep that up dawgs. Easy win. This team shows depth and poise. Next….

Watched it live with a bunch of people who didn't care so it was tough... watched it again last night and, it was just as I feared. This is NOT a super bowl caliber team, not even close.
So I'll just lay out the sad truth for everybody... if all of our starters get hurt and we have to play with this group, we aren't going to win the super bowl.
Pretty sure you can say that about every team in the league,, what's your point.

That was the point.

But ... but ... he didn't use purple. You're supposed to use purple for sarcasm.
The Browns, whether people want to talk Super Bowl or not have to get in the playoffs before they can even play the games that lead to the Super Bowl. To get in the Playoffs the Browns are going to have to go through 4 games vs the Ravens and Steelers.
If the Browns go 0-4 or even 1-3 in the 4 matchups vs the Ravens and Steelers they'll be way behind the curve for even getting a playoff berth, so Super Bowl Caliber is not even a given.
DC, may have meant the playcalling and choices or unfolding of how the plays developed, on offense, or defense, or even special teams, Kicker.
The bottom line is regular season success comes first so might as well start there in focus. (And he does mention he's talking about the backups who played.) (preseason games are trash)
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
[in the voice of Jimmy Donovan, mid-game]: "4th and a looong one. 69 yards to paydirt. Stefanski says, "Go for it!" [Doug Dieken]: "Oh boy... here we come..." [JD]: "Ben Dover over the ball... Baker under the center... Chubb lined up for a straight-line power plunge... here's the snap-"

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

As we can see by his response and by the latest post from Throw, there's a reason some people use purple. I rarely ever do but I can understand why some do.
It's kind of like Festivus. Almost everyone celebrates Christmas accept for a few religions for the most part. But for the few remaining, there's always Festivus. You know, "Festivus for the rest of us!"
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
I saw a team that is building quality depth all over the roster.
Now that we are good, building depth is paramount. In the past we couldn't build any quality depth because we were mostly starting depth. Anybody half way good was going to play.
The depth will come in to play twice.
First if someone gets hurt or to rotate in for a series here and there.
Second, it will come in to play as we have to trade or let plyers walk due to the cap. They will have to step in and start next year and after. Hopefully they can step in and perform at a similar level to the player they are going to replace.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
